The Institute for Contemporary Chinese Studies (ICCS), Mahatma Gandhi University is organizing a two-day international conference on “Engaging Rising China: Strategic Options for Emerging India” on 15-16 March in collaboration with the School of International Relations and Politics (SIRP) of the university. The Conference is expected to address an array of subjects pertaining to the global power shift and international relations, China’s South Asia Policy, China-EU Quasi-Inter-regionalism and lessons for India, Sino-U.S Trade War: Challenges and Implications for India, the boundary imbroglio, China’s economic trajectory and security Concerns, different dimensions of Sino-Indian Relations, China’s One Belt One Road and its implications for Sino-Indian Relations, maritime security, the Indian Ocean and South China Sea etc. Scholars from different universities in India and abroad are participating in the conference.
The conference will be inaugurated by Prof Sabu Thomas, the Vice Chancellor of MGU.
